The Bakery was founded by Adriana Contreras on Aug. 6th 2005. Ms. Contreras left a career of 18 years in the retirement plan industry to start her dream. Although she did not go to culinary school, she learned the craft hands on when she visited Mexico over the years. " It's hard to find a mexican bakery that still bakes from scratch and sticks to the original recipes. I wanted to create a bakery that makes the breads that I grow up with in Mexico City and introduce the "fine breads" to people in the US." says Adriana. | |
